Ingrid and Christopher’s unforgettable wedding in Kongsberg, Norway, was a true celebration of love, nature, and connection. Set deep within a peaceful forest overlooking a serene lake, their day began in classicly Norweigan log cabins where they got ready surrounded by their mates and family. They exchanged vows in a heartfelt lakeside ceremony officiated by the mayor of Kongsberg (as you do!). The celebration continued in a beautifully restored rustic barn, filled with warm lights, handcrafted details, heartfelt speeches, Norweigan traditions and some epic dancing late into the night.

As their photographer, it was such an honour to be flown to Norway to spend three days with these two warm and friendly families. One of my favourite moments was photographing the speeches during the reception. They were all in Norwegian (which I don’t speak a lick of), but honestly, I was completely invested. I had no idea what was being said, but the laughter, the tears and full face smiles - it was like watching a foreign film without subtitles and still crying at the end. The emotions in the room were so genuine that language didn’t matter.
